Early-access emails
If you sign up and give permission, we save your email address, your name if you choose to provide it, the permission you gave, and the time you joined. Michael Howell uses this list for Love Planet early access, launch news, and new posts. Signing up does not require optional analytics cookies.
The list is stored in Supabase. Future updates will be delivered through Postmark and will include an unsubscribe link. A signup is confirmed only after the website has saved it successfully.
You can ask to stop emails or remove your signup details at any time by emailing theloveplanet33@gmail.com. Please write from the address you signed up with so Michael can locate and verify your request. You do not need to wait for the first update. After removing signup details, we retain a protected matching marker to keep delayed signup retries from restoring your subscription.
Optional journey analytics
We use a random session cookie to measure visits, journey starts, progress, playback choices, pauses, restarts, and reaching the ending. The session cookie expires after 30 minutes without an analytics event. We record broad screen-size categories, not a device fingerprint. We do not attach your signup email to these observations.
For visitors our hosting provider identifies as being in the United States, these analytics start after we display a notice, unless you have opted out. Elsewhere, or when location is unavailable, analytics stay off until you choose to allow them. We use only the hosting provider’s country-level result for this decision; we do not request your device’s location or save your country in the analytics records. Closing the U.S. notice acknowledges it and does not record consent.
These observations do not record your screen, identify what you are thinking, or prove that you watched every moment. A visit ending without a recorded completion is an estimate of an unfinished journey. We use no advertising trackers.
You can refuse analytics and still use the journey and signup. Cookie preferences let you stop future collection at any time. We honor your browser’s Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal by leaving optional analytics off.
Remembering your choices
A preference cookie remembers an explicit analytics choice for six months. A separate cookie remembers that you closed the U.S. notice for six months, without replacing your privacy choice. Local browser storage remembers whether you have entered or skipped the journey, so returning visits can open early access. You can replay the journey at any time or clear these preferences in your browser.
Delivering the site
Our hosting and database providers process technical requests to deliver and protect the site. The signup endpoint uses a short-lived, keyed digest of the network address to limit repeated requests; it does not store the raw address with your email or analytics. External links have their own privacy practices.
